Vegtabalooza at North City Farmers' Market this Saturday

VEGTABALOOZA is finally here! Come on down to the market this Saturday from 9 to 12 to check it out! There will be a pie contest, a weirdest produce contest, and a largest produce contest. The judging starts at 11:30, so bring your entry before then. Raw Earth will be providing live music for the market and there will also be FREE FOOD and entertainment, so bring the whole family!

The North City Farmers' Market staff invites you to come to our opening day parade, health fair and general celebration on Saturday, June 5.  There is more information on those opening day events below.  Besides putting on the ONLY general health-themed parade in the nation and planting the seed for a health fair that will become the biggest in St. Louis, we have been very busy bees doing other things to make your shopping experience more pleasurable and to make the community proud.

Shearwater to Start on Ranken Campus

(St. Louis, MO) Today, Ranken Technical College announced an exciting new partnership with Shearwater Education Foundation and the opening of Shearwater High School on its campus. The new charter high school, which is sponsored by Saint Louis University, will serve at-risk youth, striving to prepare them for college, work and life. The school will open with 75 students in August of 2010.

High Alert Continued

It turns out, all City buildings will be on high alert, not just City Hall.

 

Regarding City Hall basement parking, the interior doors from/to the basement will be locked. Employees with basement parking spaces will have their cars searched and have to go to a security checkpoint to enter City Hall.

 

Locking the basement doors also serves the purpose of moving the smokers outside.

The Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce and The League of Women Voters of St. Louis are sponsoring a public forum for candidates running for Sunset Hills Mayor and Alderman, Monday, March 29 at 7:00 pm at the Viking Hotel and Restaurant, Watson Rd. and Lindbergh Blvd, Sunset Hills.
