Dear Friends:

My campaign team and I have made the difficult decision to suspend my campaign for Congress. We still believe that it is possible in this environment to beat my incumbent opponent -- but I am finding it difficult to say I will win definitively to supporters and potential contributors -- because at this point we should be further along than we are. Although the voters and the media are receptive to change, I have made the hard assessment that I don't have the critical mass needed for the final push.
