House 96

Scott Sifton, running to replace termed legislator Rep. Pat Yaeger, reportedly had a strong fundraiser last week.  He’s a lawyer with Husch Blackwell Sanders and has served on his local school board for several years. At the event were Reps. Yaeger, Sue Schoemehl, Mike Vogt, Vicki Englund, Sam Komo and Jeff Roorda, as well as former legislators Joan Barry and Harry Kennedy.

Has anyone heard of who else is thinking of running for state rep?  I am trying to create a list for state rep and state senate candidates.

It doesn't matter how long he's lived in the area - he has been active in the community for as long as he's lived there.  And he has already been oficially endorsed by the outgoing Rep. Yaeger.  I think he's a fantastic candidate, who will be a huge asset for the district.

Sifton didn't even live in the district as recently as 2002, because he ran for rep in a different district that year. He got 42% of the vote in a Webster Groves based district now held by a Democrat.

If I was a Republican, I would just make the decision right now not to run against Scott Sifton. Just wait until he's termed out, and let your donors keep their money.

No one is going to out work the guy, in fundraising or voter contact.

He's sat on the Afton School Board for years, has a great record, and has run really hard each year.

2002 is the distant past in this growing district, with many new homes.
