The New York Times had a recent article on the costs of autism treatment.  It cited a study by the Harvard School of Public Health which says that treatment can cost $67,000 even for those at the lower end of the autism spectrum.

The question of how much insurance companies will be required to pay for is at the heart of the current debate about a mandate in the legislature this session.
