A tabloid called Edwards a cheater last October and the father of a love child in December, and last night the Enquirer posted a story about Edwards' visit to his alleged mistress and child at the Beverly Hilton on Monday night. Although the Craig story and the John Edwards story, currently unfolding thanks to the National Enquirer,aren't directly analogous, they have a bit in common.

Savage punched a real hot button with a group of parents and professionals who�ve already mobilized around the issue of autism and vaccines � they�re combat-ready.

When your controversy shows up on �Access Hollywood� � it�s entered a new dimension. The TV show says that several famous parents of autistic children are making public statements about Savage. Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete have a 10-year-old who�s been diagnosed with autism, and they �find it shocking that the individuals who name-call and pass judgment on families like ours have had zero experience with the disorder.� How long will this stay hot? Hard to tell if it will continue to grow or (like the second Imus racial flareup) simply percolate away.

NBC on Monday will announce the exact timetable for Jay Leno to hand over the host's chair on "The Tonight Show" to Conan O'Brien, several people with knowledge of the plan said over the weekend.

It's very likely Mr. Leno will host his final "Tonight Show" in late May or early June, according to two people familiar with the plan. Mr. O'Brien will take over on the Monday following Mr. Leno's last broadcast.
