How slow is it out there?
Predictions on the parks? It needs 3/5 to pass.
Slow as molasses today.
Ward 20 Pct 2, I was voter #6 at 7:10 AM.
No touch-screen machine; optical-scan not working; just had to slide my ballot into the side of the big black box.
No lit at all, no signs for Prop P, only signs for JCD board candidates Hemenway and Ordinachev.
I've only received mailings from Local 420 (Wessling/Jackson), and Daryl Hemenway.
A very low-key election indeed.
The wording on Prop P is confusing; I don't think it will pass. I voted no.
Typical slowness at 7:30am in the 8th ward.
One person handing out SLPS lit and parks lit, no optical scan.
Not another voter anywhere in sight at 8:30 AM in the 13th Ward, Precinct 1. Touch screen machine was not set up, and the optical scan reader said mine was the 19th ballot cast.
There was one volunteer handing out lit for Wessling/Jackson and for Prop P. Signs for those two candidates and for Prop P, along with a sign for Daryl Hemenway.
My guess is that Prop P will get a majority but fall just short of the 60% needed to pass.

The touch screen voting machine was not set up and had a sign on it that said something like, for voters with disabilities only.
I guess no voters with disabilities had gotten out to vote… or the judges we not planning to have any.
15 voters at Cleveland (ward 25, precincts 1&4) between 6 and 9 am. 2 voters at Scruggs (ward 25, precinct 2) between 6 and 8:30 am.

Voted at 5:00. Very few voters as I was one of two in the precinct.
Representative handing out pro-P and Wessing/Jackson information.
I also voted no on P because I prefer to have aldermen and officials accountable.
However, contrary to Terry Jones' assertion, I do not believe that P would prohibit temporary permits for groups who are not constructing anything, or who are using parks for 30 days or less, per City Revised Statutes. They currently get a temporary permit, not a lease, from Parks and Recreation, thus I do not believe P would apply to them.
I simply voted no on P because I believe our officials and bureaucrats should be held accountable.
