Is anyone else troubled by the notion of having a party to commemorate a judicial decision which, whatever the justice to women's rights one may read into it, has without doubt subjected untold millions of fetuses to destruction. Even if one agrees with Roe, or the principles it's understood to stand for, its anniversary should be a solemn occasion, not a raucous one. The right it grants, whatever its constitutional merits, is a right tragic in its exercise.
