Cacchione = Blue
Saller = Red
Triplett = Purple
Blue, Red & Purple. Haven't seen any Saller signs up yet. Seen Cacchione & Triplett signs. Looks like both of them are aggressive with blanketing their bases. Who paid for Cacchione's signs? No union bug and his signs do not indicate who they are paid by.
Posted by Mark on Tue., Jan 9, 2007 at 10:55 AMlooked at Cacchione's signs and there is a disclaimer, and a union bug. Somebody needs to have their eyes checked.
Posted by John on Tue., Jan 9, 2007 at 11:30 AMWell I must need my eyes checked because I see no such thing. There is some sort of microscopic print in the far right corner, but it is not visible to the human eye. Why wouln't he include this basic information similiar to all the other candidates including those running for Pres. of the Board.
Posted by Mark on Tue., Jan 9, 2007 at 12:37 PMThe statute requires that the "Paid For By" disclaimer be printed in a "a clear and conspicuous manner," but it does not define what constitutes either adjective.
I suspect that tiny printing on a yard sign or on some literature would only become an enforcement issue in the cases of a yard sign paid for by someone other than the candidate or the candidate's committee, or if the literature was negative.
Generally, it's pretty clear who paid for a yard sign.
Posted by publiceye on Tue., Jan 9, 2007 at 1:08 PMPerhaps Jim Talent paid for Mr. Cacchione's yard sign as an in kind donation.
