Dave Chilenski will be helping Kacie Triplett in her 6th ward aldermanic campaign.

Is it at all possible for such posts to perhaps explain who people are?

I know who Kacie is having met her a couple of times previously and from recent posts but I haven't the slightest idea who this Dave Chilenski is and why it is a big deal she landed him for her campaign. A google search turned up a picture of him on this site "conferring" with Mike McMillan. How is he helping out? Who has he helped before? What is his success rate?

Dave Chilenski is a bright young man who we lost to the northeast for a couple of months after he ran Gregg Daly's campaign, but are more exuberantly glad to have back in the St. Louis area for the energy, vigor and intelligence he offers to our region.

Travis you managed to say a lot and still not answer my question. I did find a bit more on Chilenski such as his company website: http://www.chilenski.com/ --- a "Missouri based political consulting and opinion research firm serving the needs of candidates, school districts and governmental agencies"

Searching this site I found a few more articles mentioning his name, indicating he "often works with Vigilant Communications."

When I come to this site I'd like to not feel like a heel for not automatically knowing who the people are that are mentioned. Or have to go on an internet hunt to learn more. Or is this somehow an inner-circle only website? For all the accolades from the Mayor about the ACC you'd think it would offer more information, not less, than the Post-Dispatch.

sounds like you are onto something here Urba review, looks like a real conspiracy

The best part of these threads is reading the phony email address, woodward.

Little testy today, Urban Review?

I heard that the only people who know Chilenski are the people in the secret Chilenski club.

I'm just saying...that's what I heard.

Dave works within the inner circle of evil consultants who use scorched eart policies to win races.

Plus he's a nice guy whose good with the numbers

Good land and great way to start off your campaign Ms.Triplett

Once again, Urban Review has attempted to slight someone else. This website is the latest victim. Urban Review is the most bitter, jealous person/website in St. Louis.

Congratulations to you Dave on actually going out and making something happen in this town as opposed to entities like Urban Review that just sit around and complain about things. It is much more difficult to build a bridge than blow up one. Arch City Chronicle is a great paper with a great website. Don't let the haters ruin your day.

Well, it is not all bad, there I am on P21 of the current issue of ACC.

Hopefully as the website gets "revamped", as mentioned by Dave on page 11, it will include a bit more information to help those of us not in the know.

And thanks Justin for the vote for most bitter & jealous in St. Louis, I'll add that to my other awards!

Anyone else find it odd that Urban Review did not have "the slightest idea who this Chilenski is" despite the fact that MEC shows Chilenski did work for 25th Ward Regular Democratic Club in the 2005 election when Urban Review was a 25th Ward alderman candidate?

I am afraid I must second UR's complaint about the ACC's unfortunate and irritating propensity to assume that everyone setting eyes on this page knows who all the players are; and for that matter, what institutions and organisations contribute to the news that happens in the Lou on a daily basis. Considering the PD's decline in coverage of newsworthy local events and the ACC's stated promise to pick up a little of that slack, it hardly seems appropriate for anyone to criticize UR simply because he points out an obvious flaw in ACC's coverage of local politicos. So ACC, perhaps you folks could fill in the background behind the headshot, instead of erring on the side of brevity. The interests of journalism are far better served by providing your readers with all the relevant info, rather than presume we are all "in on it".

Forgive me if my memory is not perfect. I looked back at the April 2005 Quarterly report and see Chilenski Strategy for phone calling to the tune of $960. I recall seeing that post-election (election was in March) but the name didn't stick with me. You may find that odd but I simply don't recall seeing his name since then.

It wasn't like the committee called me up and told me they were hiring this guy. What is interesting, not odd, is the $18K or so spent by Kirner and the 25th Ward committee relative to my $3,300. They spent 85% of the money but got 56% fo the vote. These consultants should be happy I ran, otherwise they would have gotten zip in the 25th ward race.

We are now told that Urban Review did not remember which consultants worked against him in the alderman race. Possibly mind control microwave beams by the great conspiracy mothership are at work.

I found the MEC info when I googled Chilenski + St. Louis + election. It was 8th hit down. You fellows should try that internet googling thing. It works very fast and is educational.

Howard, as always you are an inspirational teacher of today's youth.

Yes it is true, I have not committed to memory all the forces that came together to defeat me in my run for alderman. It has been over 18 months and believe it or not I've been slightly busy since then what with earning a living, blogging and now going to grad school. The expensive hired guns in my aldermanic race from early 2005 simply don't play an important role in my life.

But thanks Howard for your Google lesson. I guess I failed to spend the time trying any number of combinations to get more information. Next time Dave posts one of his brief posts I'll simply email you asking how I might actual arrive at some useful information.

Urban Review's license collector candidate client also has memory issues regarding his political life. Coincidence? Or are they both victims of the great conspiracy?
