Why are we pretending that Dems don't do the same? They have just been fortunate enough not to get caught.

In this race, there is only one campaign accused of using state resources for campaign purposes. That is the campaign of Sandra Thomas. They did it, then they lied about it, then they changed their minds and told a different lie. Pretty sad commentary on Sandra Thomas.

I agree but it still doesn't negate the fact that somewhere, someone that works for a Dem is carrying out campaign functions. The thing is we have to expect this or demand that any government employee working for a campaign must resign, instead of these leaves of absence and not be involved with any campaign while employed; even if it is on their own time. Some would say that this is unconstitutional but the federal government does this with certain appointed offices.

As I write this, someone, somewhere is holding up a liquor store. That doesn't mean you can.

Also, I don't think employment status is the issue here or whose time it was. It was the state's computer. Always wrong.
