On Wednesday August 16th , from 5:30 - 10 PM, DT2 (the Downtown Dutchtown Business Association) is having quite an event: at the Bluffs on Broadway
Check out the links now, as tickets MUST be paid for by August 11, and they are not selling any tickets at the door.
Examples of photographs that will be shown during the digital slide show.

Security and Handicap drop off service will be provided. Parking for the event will be along Broadway.
Free food, free drinks, a good time, and a good cause--only $10. Sounds like a deal to me.
Posted by travis reems on Wed., Aug 9, 2006 at 9:28 PMNice photos. Great old signs, classic St. Anthony's, and cute kid. But look closely, and the streets look rather empty. And the first sort of glorifies the illegal opening of a hydrant.
Posted by Brian on Thu., Aug 10, 2006 at 8:38 AMI had the same thoughts as Brian. I was driving home the other day and saw a helicopter hovering near my house. They were filming the two fire hydrants open just two blocks apart. Some sort of misting water feature in Mt. Pleasant park would have been far more used than the leaf collector, I mean inline hockey rink we got.
The images look well composed and beautifully shot. Hopefully through this sort of marketing we'll begin to see more virbrant streets.
