And more GOP money for Gambaro.
Bubba loves being on the front end of the intel curve and watching it play out. Vive Senator Smith!
Posted by Bubba on Mon., Aug 7, 2006 at 9:38 AMMany of you seem oblivious that there are still Democrats who vote their conscience, a conscience that includes the unborn. They vote from strong moral and ethical principles you may not grasp. But they vote, and you ignore them. You dismiss religious convictions against sodomy and for life even at the earliest stages. Your candidates may and probably will win, but Catholics, Protestants, Eastern and Greek Orthodox Christians, Maronite Christians, Muslims, and many Jews still value teachings from the beginning of time.
You think such people vote only Republican. Some may, only because the Democratic Party has left the values of many who once believed in it. But the Democratic Party prefers to promote actions that can only push away some who would like to support it, but just can't.

Posted by Kevin on Mon., Aug 7, 2006 at 9:04 PMAnd many of us are Christians who believe strongly that choice is a moral value from our Christian perspective as is respecting those who love someone of the same sex. The self-righteous BS above attempts to define only particular traditions as the definition of Christianity. If you want others to respect your faith, you should respect my faith. You have every right to disagree, but that doesn't mean you get to define me as unChristian.
"I think we should put more of our tax dollars into educating poor girls and boys, and give them the information about contraception that can prevent unwanted pregnancies, lower abortion rates, and help assure that that every child is loved and cherished. But my bible tells me that if we train a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not turn from it. I think faith and guidance can help fortify a young woman’s sense of self, a young man’s sense of responsibility, and a sense of reverence all young people for the act of sexual intimacy. "

As for your bible, it's interesting how you pick and choose what you will accept.
I was merely stating why some won't vote for various candidates because of their religious convictions. There was no attack on those who believe differently. Your response shows how unobjective you are when it comes to political issues. Your way or the highway!
Such vitriol only squashes legitimate discussion and debate. It's interesting how you can glibly dismiss the convictions of billions of people. Some left wingers show more hate than most right wingers.
Does your Koran say something different than what the Arabic Koran says about sodomy?
