Prediction: a mini-run on air-conditioned vans.

Channel 2 (Dave Murray) agrees with The Weather Channel (the link above). Channel 5 is predicting "lower 90s" with a chance of a scattered thunderstorm. Channel 4's web site isn't offering anything beyond Sunday.

I predict this will change several times today.

Seriously, this is starting to look like 2004's primary where traditionally porch sitting areas had no one on the street--meaning lower turnout in African-American areas as it's harder to do GOTV.

Weather aside, I really do not expect a high turnout. This race may be heated but there isn't anything else out there motivating enough for the normal joe to care about. I expect a low turnout in this election. Whoever has the best GOTV program could definitely increase their chances of winning by dragging their voters to the polls.

Speaking of turnout, a while back the BOE quietly posted a complete report on the April election including precinct-by-precinct turnout and vote totals, on their website. It's in PDF, but worth a look anyway.
