Jeanette Mott Oxford is the incumbent, challenged by Committeeman Mark Rice.
Consensus is for an Oxford victory. I haven't seen a single Rice yard sign. ACC endorsed Oxford. Any thoughts?
I do not believe that Mark Rice is campaigning. There were rumors that he was going door-to-door weeks ago, but those turned out to be false.
Regardless of opposition or not, the tireless JMO is still canvassing, speaking with and listening to her constituents at neighborhood meetings, and raising the funds necessary to defeat her Libertarian challenger in November.
Posted by travis reems on Sun., Jul 30, 2006 at 5:11 PMAbsence of signs is a byproduct of absence of cash. Rice has filed an exemption from campaign finance disclosure, for which one is eligible only if raising and spending $500 or less. Signs cost more than that.
More detailed observations in ACC's special election issue, out this week.
