What a shame. QT is a great operator. What is going to happen to those crappy buildings on Hampton now?

^Those "crappy buildings" will continue to offer great spaces to run a small business. The laundromat has never once looked like it was hurting for business. As of the closed Zito's, maybe a non-Italian restaurant, like a CB&W, would do better at this highly visible corner.

That Zito's has been closed for like two years, if it was such a great spot why hasn't it been used. Plus the laundry mat has been for sale for a few months, if these are such great and resonable spots why so little work their. If the neighborhood continues to listen to the Sinclair owner, then they will end up with nothing but junk just like his gas station. I am sad that my neighbors didn't like the QT, but am glad that QT listened to their objections.

To clarify a few things:

- I cant recall a single person ever saying that QT is a "bad operator" or the devil in disguise. I think most people actually like QT's when given the choice of gas stations. However that doesnt mean that it would be appropriate at that specific location

- Crappy buildings? Those building have had wonderful resteraunts and shops for years and we expect that to continue. I do hope that it doesnt take two years for that to happen but I am optimistic that there will be progress in that regards

- Yes the Sinclair owner was very vocal about his opposition BUT it wasnt his voice alone. We were concerned about many aspects of this possible development and once we were able to hear all of the facts we found that it wasnt suitabe for that location. The Sinclair owner also lives in the neighborhood and is very active in our neighborhood and it's association. He's got every right to be very vocal about it

Since you were in favor of the QT worried citizen, nows your chance to voice your opinon and let us know what kind of business would be appropriate there. Come to the Clifton Heights Neighborhood Association meeting and let your voice be heard- thats the whole point of our associaition.

Monday 7pm at Mason School off of Southwest Ave

Cheers
