Couple of interesting things over at Combest:
Hancock compares bloggers to Trekkies.
WSJ poll give Talent 5 point lead.
DSCC giving Mo Dems $200,000.

And over at the Fix, Jake notes that Gambaro grabs Gregali's endorsement.

In other news, Bernie Hayes will be signing his book "The Death of Black Radio" at the Urban League tomorrow (Saturday 3- 5pm).

And sadly, the 19th ward Republican Committeewoman, Lillie Metcalfe, has passed away. A memorial mass will be held at St Wenceslaus Church on July 2 at 10AM.

The article about the poll that Combest links is from the WSJ, but the poll is Zogby's.

Gregali's endorsement follows his ward organization. Gregali doesn't live in the district; in fact, only two small precincts in his ward are part of the 4th district. Also, Gambaro's attacks on the operations of the S. Kingshighway fee office that is run by a prominent member of the Bosnian community may play poorly in that area.

Even though I do not support Mr. Gambaro his concern about the S.Kingshwy Fee Office will play well in this neighborhood among the Bosnian community as well as others. No one likes to wait several hours and no one likes corruption.(Except may be the Repugnantcans)
I really did not think Mr. Gambaro had a shot but I have heard alot about him lately from my customers. He really is cut from the same cloth as the current Senator.
I am afraid that the progressives will split the votes between Holly and Jeff and we get another Anti-Choicer.

Now, Dave, your headline is a bit misleading.

From STLToday.com,

"Derio Gambaro has announced a trio of endorsements:

First, The Missouri Chamber of Commerce. (The chamber usually endorses Republicans.)
Second, St. Louis Circuit Court Clerk Mariano Favazza. (He ran against Smith in the 2004 3rd District Congressional race.)
And third, 14th Ward Alderman Stephen Gregali. (King of Carondelet? We have no insightful political commentary here.)"

It is very obvious why he was endorsed the this trio: his Republican leanings, political payback, and Hill support.
