What part of GO HOME ,do you not understand Cathrine Hanaway!!!

Dave-Of Course she is running for the AG spot! She has been running ever since she got the US Atty job. She has been on TV taking credit for all of the cases in which the hard work was done well before her appointment. I think she has been on TV more than Steve Higgins was during his entire term when he was the US ATTY!

But here is a tidbit. Ms. H. is finally gonna try her first criminal case (not as US Atty but ever) -a big drug and guns case-very shortly. Of course she'll be paired with an experienced career prosecutor-I've heard that she is busy learning how to examine a witness and lay a foundation-I guess this is affirmative action for Republican candidates who are unqualified for the jobs that they are given when they lose an election.

It would be a very serious error for Dems to underestimate Ms. Hanaway. She is pretty much the Total Package in the smarts, drive, and ambition departments.

Correction: Landmarks tours depart only at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. from the AIA office at the Lammert Building, 911 Washington.

See ya there.

Publiceye-You are correct she a very smart person and probably a good lawyer. And she should not be underestimated-If she can maneuver her current job to get enough publicity she'll be a lock for the Republican nomination for AG in 08-and with an open seat and left over name recognintion from 04 and her face being on every TV report about a bank robber she'll be a formidable candidate. If she wins you can count on her serving two terms and running for the state house in 16 when Jay finishes his second term.

My point is simply that she was parked at the US Attorney's job to prepare herself for a run-and that she has no criminal trial experience and precious little litigation expereince. The right is always talking about "qualifications" when they talk about affirmative action-Ms. H. is learning on the job.
