Posted by Nia on Wed., Jun 7, 2006 at 8:08 PMI don't think your facts are correct about the poll results. I believe that Smith and Boykins were tied for 1st at roughly 17%, if memory serves. Is this a new poll? Do you have the raw data, or what is your source on this?

Education Group Endorses Amber Boykins for State Senate from the 4th District - June 5, 2006
The Missouri School Administrators Political Action Committee (MSAPAC) has endorsed Amber Boykins for the 2006 primary election to the Missouri Senate from the 4th district. MSAPAC made the endorsement due to her strong support of public education, according to Stephen M. Laub, President of MSAPAC and Principal with the Rolla 31 School District.
MSAPAC is comprised of four statewide school administrator organizations, including the Missouri Association of School Administrators, the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals, the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals and the Missouri Council of Career and Technical Administrators. The membership of these four organizations includes some 3,140 school administrators. MSAPAC was founded in 1991 to provide school administrators with the opportunity to become more involoved in the political process through endorsements and contributions to candidates who are strong public education supporters.

What about AFT Local 420? Have they made an endorsement yet?
Posted by Joe Frank on Mon., Jun 12, 2006 at 10:02 AMJoe,
In 2001, Amber "Holly" Boykins received the LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD, in recognition of her exceptional leaderhip and dedication in support of public education, labor, and working families.
Local 420 has not made an endorsement yet; however, several members have already pledged their personal support to Amber Boykins and are hard at work on her campaign.
