The Mayor is showing good leadership and coalition building on this controversial issue. Although I generally am okay with the deal, I applaud the Mayor's pluralistic approach.

Why didn't Ms. Green voice objections earlier?

I think it's nothing more than another Francis Slay/Jeff Rainford tactic to alienate the citizens of St. Louis. The only alderman in the group that has the common sense and intelligence to look at the deal logically is Lyda Krewson. Conway is a slimy little sneak, Wessels is a neo-facist and Bosley is an idiot. Another episode of Francis Slay and the Three Stooges.

The Mayor is showing leadership by asking the some Aldermen to get involved. Krewson is a CPA, Conway is chair of budget But someone tell me why Francis picked Bosley? Talk about an odd pick.

^The Boz is likely added due to his status as the most senior northside alderman, along with Wessels, the most senior (not counting sole Repub. Heitert) southside alderman. Plus, Bosley and Wessels respectively chair the Streets, Traffic & Refuse and the Housing, Urban Development & Zoning committees.

"But someone tell me why Francis picked Bosley?"

For a good laugh.

Can someone tell me why the Green Party is not up in arms about this deal? The third key value of the party is "Ecological Wisdom" and taking preserved greenspace when there is SO MUCH unused land in the city makes me angry and I am about as green as fresh whitebread.

So they would have to build a nice road and have lots of shuttle buses for the Doctors. Someone needs to speak to the heirs of the landowner who thought that leasing his land to the Guinness Brewery in the 18th century for 75 pounds sterling per year was a great idea.
