Any comments on Slay's Executive Order calling for CRB nominations, while vetoing the bill at the same time?

CRB proponents might protest the Mayor's order, refusing to appoint anyone. But since only 3 of the 7 districts are fully comprised of wards where aldermen fully supported the creation of a CRB, could those voting against the bill now create a CRB per Slay's order that would have quorum without the 3 northside districts filled? The worst thing possible would be creating an alternate CRB lacking the support of those very aldermen that fought for its creation.

I have to disagree with Brian on this one. I think the worse possible thing would be for people to continue clinging to the CRB issue instead of using this as an opportunity to organize a campaign, long term though it would be, to return control of the police department back to the City.
