Posted by Howard on Tue., Mar 28, 2006 at 3:48 PMInteresting filing. It is rumored that there was a meeting between 57th district candidate Joe Palm, Amber Boykins and Karla May in an attempt to cut into El-Amin's base of support, with the prodding of Kenny Jones who has also filed for senate. It would be interesting to see the Mayor's take on these shenanigans, being that Parrie May is his appointee, and their working with Kenny Jones who is now the self-anointed, nemesis of Mayor Slay, and the new spokesman for Blackness in North St. Louis. This is just another reason why the interest of the people have taken a backseat to self-serving politics that's makes a mockery of a system created to serve the needs of people. If you can only lead people through elected office, and absence yourself from the community outside of that, then you're not fit to lead. The community hasn't heard from Ms. May since her trouncing by Rep. Yaphett El-Amin in 2000, now she expects people to believe she cares? People, wake up and stop making a mockery, and fool of yourselves and this process. Does the Mayor support someone in his cabinet, empowering someone destined to destroy him. As pathetic as St. Louis politics is, it is Oh so interesting.
