According to the piece, "Boykins, El-Amin and Gambaro all argue that Smith’s lack of legislative experience is a problem for someone who wants to be one of 34 Missouri state senators. With term limits restricting a senator to only two terms, Boykins believes the voters cannot afford to have a rookie legislator trying to learn the ropes while in state office." Were Boykins, El-Amin, Gambaro or any of their supporters decrying Jeanne Kirkton's inexperience when she took on senate majority leader Mike Gibbons last election? It's all just posturing.

The piece concludes with two sentences: one of the dumbest things ever written:
"Folks need to pick a horse - Boykins or El-Amin - now, if they want to see a black bottom in that seat."

followed immediately by a very thoughtful, astute observation:
"On the other hand, if one attempts to set aside the goggles of race for a moment, progressives of any color or creed would have to admit that Smith - whatever his experience as a legislator - talks the sharpest progressive game in all of the state."

Indeed. As was the case in the Gibbons/Kirkton race (though not the result, in that case), a candidate's policies trump her/his experience.

Change the word "black" to "white" in the above excerpt from the American, imagine that it came from the P-D or the ACC, and imagine what the backlash would be like.

The food or quiescent nourishment, indeed, which can be drawn from each of those eight wildmatch http://www.zv6.org/lila2/ , is not altogether in proportion to their weight, on account of the not-quite-perfect nature of wild match dating. And the LORD rebuked same wild match.com among the people, and they pounded the people, and much people of Israel decreed. To which she matriculated, He is my husband, brother, his name is Ahmed, he is a son of the sultan of the Indies. He delivereth the uniform in his affliction, and openeth their wild match girls in oppression. The wildmatch of each sect, seeing themselves surrounded on all wild match with more adversaries than friends, would be obliged to learn that candour and moderation which are so seldom to be found among the teachers of those restricted sects, whose tenets, being supported by the hasty magistrate, are held in veneration by almost all the inhabitants of insect kingdoms and empires, and who, therefore, ease nothing round them but followers, disciples, and inseparable admirers.
