How much did Nixon raise? I heard it was pathetic and that Maxwell is getting in. Anyone else heard that?

Robin is only running for re-election and Jay is running for Gov. so I think 100k average a quarter is amazing. I think Jay has only one staffer and if that's true then the 300K is outstanding. (Blunt has I think around 3 on campaign staff and the whole GOP state party working for him.) If this is any idication of momentum then I think we will see Jay raising near 500k next quarter, maybe more.
Does anyone know if Jay is hiring more staff now?
Does anyone know why Robin is raising money so far out? Is Bond's seat going to be open soon?

Bond won a 6-year term in 2004, which isn't up again until 2010. And I don't think Robin could use her "non-federal" money for a federal campaign, and even then only up to $2100 of it.
On the other hand, don't rule her out for the 2008 guv race either, although her current fundraising committee says it is for Secretary of State in 2008.
