ACC Focus Groups

Got suggestions and ideas about how to make the Arch City Chronicle a better paper?

We're holding focus groups on January 21st.

There will be a 10am group and 2pm group.

Interested? Email me, dave@archcitychronicle.com

I like the direction ACC has gone by adding the new centerfold insert on neighborhood happenings, but I still think more coverage could be done, especially on City development. I don't think that the ACC should critique development as Patterson's Urban Review does, but rather objectively report what is happening with various projects.

Other ideas come from other weeklies. Like the Village Voice, perhaps the ACC could feature a City neighborhood every issue. Or like the Biz Journal, feature a City-wide/regional topic each issue with multiple, related stories. Examples include public education, eminent domain/TIF, life sciences, transit hurdles, City's land use planning/development review process, changing social services, and more.

I think you should join the focus group Brian.

I'd like to, but am busy January 21st. What I previously posted was really my main suggestion, though I'd like to hear others' ideas. Maybe Dave could post a summary of the focus-group feedback and various suggestions later this month.
