Daley wants a domed stadium and second football team.
Fundraising quarter closes next week. We hear Jay Nixon is having a great quarter.
Leslie Farr, Republican candidate for 1st CD, released his holiday schedule to the media. "December 24 10:00 am-Gianna and I will participate in my annual tradition of going into Downtown, finding a homeless person and treating them to lunch. For the last five years, I have asked that instead of gifts that family and friends find a complete stranger and spend that amount on them. It is the one thing I love to do, give to people that don’t have."
If Leslie likes to help people then why is he a Republican?
Posted by confused on Fri., Dec 23, 2005 at 11:41 AMProgressives such as myself have a good-faith disagreement with Republicans over the role of government in society, but a simplistic and mean-spirited mischaracterization of Republicans' ideological outlook is counterproductive. Farr's voluntary "private sector" help for the less fortunate is quite consistent with Republican ideology. While I prefer that voluntary "private sector" help be heavily supplemented with comprehensive governmental programs, I don't agree with belittling and demeaning the good-faith contributions of those who disagree.

Posted by Jason on Fri., Dec 23, 2005 at 2:58 PMOf course, another read of the same material is Mayor's nonpartisan frustration at all that young legal clinic energy being spent suing service providers, like St. Patrick Center or the Partnership, instead of representing actual homeless people get jobs, treatment, shelter, and treatment.

Posted by publiceye on Fri., Dec 23, 2005 at 8:46 PMI had a good time today guys. I met a guy by the name of NIko, we went to Mc Donald's. He had the Chicken Bacon Ranch meal and I also got him a gift card for later. Some of you guys are far too partisan; a lot of Republicans care about the areas they live in. Not everything needs to be about party lines.
