I'm told that the Waterhouse folks will be at Seamus McDaniels.
Anyone have Barnes Victory party location?
I'm not sure where Sharon Barnes is having her party or where Tom Bauer will hold his celebration. My wife Terri and I will be at Seamus McDaniels with the Waterhouse folks and I hope others will stop by from the Barnes or Bauer camp.
We have gone through a great deal of change in the 24th Ward and sooner or later we need to have meaningful non-political dialog to solve our differences.
Have a drink at the pub and let's talk. Whatever happens today, let's be glad we can vote our choice and still be friends and neighbors.

Posted by John Corbett on Tue., Dec 13, 2005 at 11:30 AMJust an FYI on what I saw today while working the polls at Mason School from 6-10:30
- Right around 40 folks voting in that period, mostly in that 40-80 yr old range
- Alot of support for Waterhouse and alot of support for Barnes and much hatred for Bauer
- Much ribbing between the candidates workers- especially to the guy who was working for Bauer and the IBEW guy's and sharon barnes worker tim
-It was damn cold
See ya at Sheamus for a pint

Posted by sarah t on Tue., Dec 13, 2005 at 1:02 PMbauer's party: 3176 hampton...south of arsenal. the post guy said it was bauer's lofts...or something.
the men outside dewey and st james all seemed to be getting along fairly well. but their efforts are futile, i think.

Posted by sarah t on Tue., Dec 13, 2005 at 3:21 PM3176 Hampton is Bauer's law office and headquarters for his campaign and ward organization. The only thing lofty there is Bauer's ego.
Posted by Howard on Tue., Dec 13, 2005 at 3:52 PMCongrats, ArchPundit, for predicting publicly on this blog (the TV-buy thread) the correct order of finish, coming within two points of Waterhouse's percentage. Good call.
Posted by St Louis Oracle on Tue., Dec 13, 2005 at 9:14 PMThanks, but it's sort of like insider trading since I knew the results of some of the canvassing. Mostly, I'm glad Bauer did worse than I thought.
