Seiko Epson 16-bit flash MCU with high-res dot matrix LCD driver
Seiko Epson has developed a 16-bit flash microcontroller which has a high resolution dot matrix LCD driver.
The device, which has power consumption equivalent to an 8-bit microcontroller, has a 16-bit Risc CPU, which is capability of one clock cycle per instruction. There is 128kbyte of on-chip flash ROM.
Designated the S1C17702, its dot matrix LCD driver has a resolution of 72 SEG x 32 COM (2,304 dots), enables direct connection with LCD panels.
