CWE on the move

May be old news to some, but a couple of happenings in the CWE:

Left Bank Books has expanded into the old Marty's.

Silk Road is closing at the end of the month due to a substantial increase in rent. They hope to re-open elsewhere on Euclid at some as-yet undetermined time.

And the Pasta House space which became Graffiti is going back to a Pasta House. Not sure anyone will care.

Hurrah for Left Bank: it is a neighborhood anchor. The new magazine area is so large that whole stacks of ACCs could be displayed there.

i moved from stl to nyc a few years back, but loved my time living in the cwe (except for having my car stolen on westminster, just steps away from that mini-police dept.) anywhoozle, has anything become of the forest park hotel, or that classic deli underneath it? has a new record store moved in to replace euclid records?

The Forest Park Hotel has been restored, but the deli space has never reopened.
