It only seemed like a matter of time once Jonathan Kleinbard left that George would too. But now who will be Peter Raven's face to the community? Raven works well with botanists and donors, but not so much neighbors.

Given his history of wanting to level adjacent blocks for parking and other PR disasters, MOBOT's Director hasn't exactly been well-received among neighborhood activists living in the "Garden District" (Shaw, SW Garden, Tiffany, McRee Town). Sure, some of Raven's critics may be Botanical Heights-displaced slumlords like Jim Roos (who also disliked Robnett), but many others comprise sincere activists truly fighting the good fight for their neighborhood. Let's hope the good doctor makes a careful pick to fill Robinett's and Kleinbard's shoes.
