The AIA will be conducting a charette October 22and 23 (with a reception Friday the 21) to gather ideas for developing a park in the public spaces between the Arch and Union Station. The charette is open to the public for a $10 fee.
Community Planning featuring Pay to Play Stakeholders. Hilarious.
Posted by Howard on Sat., Oct 8, 2005 at 1:32 PMIt's not as if any of the ideas will actually come to fruition. The AIA had a similar charrette circa 2000 for the Olive-Taylor area on the CWE's northern edge, including tours of Field School. Just like then and there, I'd think this mall deal is another pipe-dream exercise.
If desiring true public input, you'd be better off to attend instead the open houses on the riverfront plans sponsored by Great Rivers Greenway. There, feedback on proposals is highly desired.
