Assessing the competition? My guess would be that Joe would play best outstate, Jay worst in St. Louis, and Robin best in St. Louis but worst outstate. Notice, Claire isn't mentioned in any superlative.

Last go-around, St. Louis had larger turnout with the big prize of the White House. In a mid-term election, will out-state matter more? Still, no Dem, even Jay or Joe would likely carry any rural county, but it's all about making a dent into Talent's margins (as well as greatly carrying your own base) in order to win.
