Any chance of Danforth running against Talent. I mean, I know he's a republican but he is making more sense now than Claire. At least I know what he stands for.

Danforth, Moderate Independent For Senate in 06.

He's certainly preferable to Talent, but I doubt he'd do it. Assuming Claire doesn't do it, what are some other possibilities? Farmer, Cook, Jacobs, Gaw?

Cook, with actual support from the party could be a really good candidate. She's great in outstate.

How about a new face? Jeff Harris is smart and liberal. I've seen Mike Sanders' name around too. He's a prosecutor and would be tough to run against.

I caught a significant portion of the show. Danforth was a much needed shot in the arm for my feeble attempts to keep an open mind about political parties. (If only Terry Gross could be so balanced.)

I heard just a bit of Danforth a few days back on KTRS. I'm not sure who was doing the interview, but he (the interviewer) did a *terrible* job. The interviewer was trying to goad Danforth into some sensational type statements while being warm and amusing at the same time. The interviewer failed miserably on both accounts.
