According to this reliable source:
Joan Barry is looking at the Harry Kennedy seat in 2008 when he is term limited--she's not making a run against Russ.
Wow, a Dem that puts party before personal ambition. Has anyone told Jeff about this?
Posted by smallDem on Wed., Jun 29, 2005 at 10:10 AMHey SmallDem, we don't need to start bashing other Dems here. Remember Barry was a part of that knockdown dragout primary in the 3rd. I think it's great that she is looking to 08 but there is no reason to bash other Dems that are looking at other seats. Seriously people, let's keep it clean.
Posted by Dr.Slice on Wed., Jun 29, 2005 at 10:43 AMand there is no incumbant in the 4th which makes a primary much more palatable than a challenge to an incumbant Congressman.
Posted by stlguy on Wed., Jun 29, 2005 at 2:05 PMWorried about too much democracy, smallDem?
Posted by Heh on Wed., Jun 29, 2005 at 3:45 PMSmall Dem--how are the situations similar? Jeff is running for an open seat and a challenge against Russ would be against a Dem Incumbent.
Is there some sort of right to an open seat that I missed?
Posted by ArchPundit on Wed., Jun 29, 2005 at 7:40 PMand thus the dream of someone unseating russ ends.
oh well. im patient. 2010 here we come.
Posted by sigh on Thu., Jun 30, 2005 at 12:37 AMROFLMAO, yeah right smallDem, the last thing we want is qualified candidate running for an open seat.
