Timely and welcome.

For those who have not kept up with Ms. Tucci, the ex-Biz Journal writer and U City resident now lives in Cambridge from which she writes business stories for the NY Times and the Boston Globe.

Way too much credit given to the government and way too little given to the entrepreneurs.

Isn't that always the case?

Actually, it is often the opposite case. We blame government for the failures, excusing the entrepreneur. And we sometimes minimize the role of government in successes.

This particular story seemed balanced.

Thought I was reading a summary of Francis' campaign lit.

America in general suffers from a great suspicion of government and the public sphere, hence the intense media focus on corruption in government ("You Paid for It") and the relatively light reporting on corporate corruption, which seems to only hapen when corporate corruption involves celebrities or the government. Another offshoot of this mindset is the constant quest for the "pure" politician and countless attempts to "reinvent" government, usually along more-trusted business or scientific lines.

That said, government _officials_ don't always make good choices and we should scrutinize them without blaming government itself, an institution that actually needs expansion in some ways.

I don't mind the scrutiny on government more so than the private sector. I have to pay taxes, I don't have to watch Disney movies, buy Cheerios etc.
