At Tandoori Hut on Hampton. I've never been there.

I just returned home from the event. A good local turnout for Woody with 50 plus people coming out to support him. Woody focused on securing volunteers for the final weeks of his campaign, and spoke about his goals for the ward. His Clifton Heights neighbors made up the majority of the 23rd Ward voters in attendance.

We did not make it to the delicious desserts - as mentioned by Michael above - but the Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Vegetable Samosa, Paneer Pakora and Chai were all very tasty.

I've seen several signs for Lange along McCausland near Lindenwood, where the potential debacle of the Lindenwood School (non-)redevelopment is a hot issue. Does he have a stance on it? He'll need to broaden his appeal beyond Clifton Heights, most of which is in the 24th Ward (Bauer).

I don't live in the ward, although my father-in-law does. Kathy Hanrahan was my boss one summer at Recreation some years back, so I guess my allegiance would be to her, if I voted there.

Also, I value having women in government, so the fact that both Lange in the 23rd and Steve Patterson in the 25th would unseat incumbent alder-women does trouble me.

Of course, my own ward was represented by a woman for a while, and I didn't vote to re-elect her. But that was Sharon Tyus, who was removed from the ballot because she didn't live here, and thus Craig Schmid was unopposed. So you can't really fault me for that.

I am a supporter of Woody's and can share what I know. You are right . . . Woody is well aware of his need to gather support from the other precincts in the ward.

He is now two-thirds of his way through knocking on all the residential and commercial doors in the ward to share his platform and gain votes.

I know that Woody has been to all of the meetings related to the development of the Lindenwood School property. His stance is that the property should be developed into market-rate single-family condos (in the school) and detached homes on the surrounding property.

Unfortunately, it is now known that the property is not on the National Historical Register, as once believed. I know that he is working on solutions for this, and hopes that he can help preserve and restore the historical integrity of the building.

Woody is also well versed on property development and has served the 23rd Ward as a long-time member of the Clifton Heights Neighborhood Association, and also on the Linden Heights Housing Corporation.

He is working hard daily to move the vote his way, and if he has not tried to visit your father-in-law yet, he will be doing so within the next week and half.

I hope that helps you better understand his position.
