Posted by dave drebes on Mon., Jul 26, 2004 at 1:07 PMFascinating piece. It really demonstrates how much financial trouble the Carnahan campaign is in. They made it very tough on themselves by putting the pressure on their Mom to raise money for two races.
With Jeff Smith bringing in substantial sums of new money over the past two weeks Carnahan is likely still trailing in available cash on hand after his big loans. What is he planning to do with this money? More TV? Give more money to the grassroots company they hired? Go negative on Smith, Stoll and Barry? My guess is that it's to late... but it should be interesting.
