Public officials walking/riding in last weekend's Pridefest:
Jennifer Joyce, circuit attorney.
Jeanette Mott Oxford, candidate 59th district.
Terry Crow, candidate 64th district.
Nancy Farmer, candidate for Senate.
Russ Carnahan, candidate 3rd CD. Actually didn't see Russ, but he had a car and volunteers walking. I may just have missed him.
Mark Smith, candidate 3rd CD.
Mike Evans, candidate 3rd CD.
Jeff Smith, candidate 3rd CD.
Jennifer Florida, 15th ward alderman.
Steve Conway, 8th ward alderman.
Ken Ortmann, 9th ward alderman.
Kathleen Hanrahan, 23rd ward alderman.
Stephen Gregali, 14th ward alderman.
Where were the members of E&A? Slay, Shrewsbury, Green all MIA.
Carnahan was there, but not in the car - he was walking along and shaking hands, at least as he passed me (near the bank).
Posted by Jim Redmond on Mon., Jun 28, 2004 at 12:33 PMIn addition to aforementioned candidates, you forgot the two openly gay candidates running for Missouri House of Representative seats. TERRY CROW (District 64)and Jeanette Mott Oxford (District 59). Terry Crow's website lists pictures from Pridefest (www.crow2004.com)

Posted by dave drebes on Mon., Jun 28, 2004 at 6:09 PMwho else is running in the 59th district?
Posted by ajay on Tue., Jun 29, 2004 at 8:51 AMMark Rice and Becky Burrell.
Jeanette Mott Oxford is the clear choice for that race.
Posted by dave drebes on Tue., Jun 29, 2004 at 9:03 AMJMO is certainly my choice in the 59th, but Mark Rice (old 10th ward committeeman) is getting the old time labor support.
Also, I understand the PrideSTL organization outreach to politicians was pretty limited and late in coming. One longtime supporter on the Board of Aldermen wasn't contacted about participating in the parade until Friday, so she couldn't make it.
Posted by Joe Frank on Tue., Jun 29, 2004 at 11:54 AMGuys,
Shrewsbury was there two years ago when he was running for BOA President and saying he looked stiff would be a compliment.
Slay was there at least the last two years, as were Lyda Krewson and Greg Daly if memory serves.
We missed it this year sorry to say.
