New organization forming

My apologies. I promised when I started this blog that I'd update it everyday. I missed last weekend as I was away from the home base, and there were no computers around anywhere.

Anyway, here's today's tidbit, a new organization forming. Rodney Burchfield and Joe Palm are among the prime movers.

DEMOCRATIC COALITION for URBAN DEVELOPMENT

Mission : The Democratic Coalition for Urban Development is a partisan coalition of diverse Young Professionals dedicated to engaging elected officials, civic leaders, and other stakeholders in the political process. The Democratic Coalition for Urban Development has over 100 members who represent the interest of the St. Louis Metropolitan region.

Our goals include: promoting diverse and sustainable community and regional based coalitions, coordinating voter registration, mobilizing get-out-the-vote efforts, providing forums for candidates to reach out to young audiences, and promoting electoral reform efforts.

The Platform Issues: Housing; Public & Personal Safety; Education; Health Care; Jobs; Economic Development.

DCUD depends entirely on private contributions, special fundraising events, and foundation support.

Welcome to the source of information for voters residing in Missouri's 137th Legislative District, Springfield. The purpose of this comprehensive site is to provide information and resources to residents and business owners of North Springfield. Information is power and one of my goals, as your future representative, is to empower you with the scoop on issues and votes that affect all of us. This public disclosure will be supplemented with frequent updates on what is happening at the Capitol in general.

Do you want to know where I stand on the issues or maybe read some questions and answers from voters? How about learning who has endorsed my campaign so far? Maybe you would like to start by reading what has been released to the local media.

Just about any questions you may have should be covered within this site. If there is anything I missed, or if you have a question that needs to be specifically addressed, send it my way and I will publish the information so others can also be informed.

I look forward to meeting and speaking with you, before the election, this summer and fall. I will continue to communicate and represent the best interest of North Springfield after receiving your vote of confidence this November.

Thanks for your support.
