as a young candidate for office (I'm running for Riverview Township Committeeman in Jefferson County) I'm really looking forward to your editorial.

That's great, Ben.

Who is the incumbent? Are you opposed?

yes there is an incumbent, but he has not been active with central committee in some time.

This was my grandpa's seat (mothers side, so no same last name) in the 1960s and some into the 70's I believe. Of course, it was originally Joachim township I believe, until they reorganized the system, and he had Riverview created.

Small office with a small constituency, but I love the history of the area and of the seat.

btw the incumbent's name is Joel Cummings.

I actually have the first spot on the ballot because I filed a few weeks before he did.
