Warning: Hours of wasted time ahead

The Health Department has put restaurant ratings on-line.

You can search by zip-code, neighborhood, type of restaurant (take-out, fast food, etc), or by ratings.

Ah, the peace of mind in knowing that Big Drink Bar #1 is A rated...

And no, I am not part owner of Double D's Den.

So who wants to join me for lunch at The Edge?

talk about a curve. how does any place NOT get an "A"?

I've been to Double D's a few times. Ask for "Coach", he'll take care of you...

The Edge was one of the lowest rated ones!

How about that?

Anyway, I'm in. When?

Lunch sounds good and I'm pretty open, Dave. Maybe we could stop by Kenny's Discount for some carry-out?

Hey guys,

I helped work on that restaurant ratings web site a little bit. (BTW, it was pretty much ready for prime-time in January, but Room 200 wanted to review it, so it didn't go public until early April *sigh*).

It is odd that so many get rated 'A' - but remember, that's based on the very latest inspection. That's why the search is by three-year average rating score - that's a better measure of how well the place is doing overall.

Oh, and part of the reason taverns score so high is that they many of them don't prepare actual food - they just heat stuff up in a microwave!
